Strange Madness
“What the fuck?” is all I could think upon hearing “Our House” by Madness twisted and contorted for a shoddy coffee commercial. Some nights earlier, when I had the television on while working, my ears perked at the sound of “One Step Beyond” which was being used in a cheerleading routine on one of my most hated of shows, Gilmore Girls. To round out the occurences, back in March, at Didier’s birthday, they were playing Madness at the pub and most of the company commented on it, knowing they had heard it before but not sure of the name. I don’t think anyone listened when I told them it was Madness.
Now I want the Madness CDs which mum’s boyfriend gave me ages ago (the late 90’s), but I can’t seem to find them. The Republica albums he gave me at the same time are on the wall’s CD holder, perhaps I will look into the DVD-R binder on metal CD wallet later. Also, why does iTunes Canada only have one partial “best of” album by Madness? Bloody hell. I love and hate iTunes Canada all at once.
